You got him! Excellent! Is he on you-tube anywhere? I would love to see him in action!
17 Oct 2010 7:30am
@CElliottUK: From early this year. A JamFest fundraiser performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvyDCTkplYo if you promise to at least hear it from 3:00 on when the band really does its thing, but i's good for the whole song (despite my terrible audio and camera). The four band members are together now in a serious venture. He plays rock/metal/death metal/jazz/fusion.
Wonderful... the colors and the composition are fantastic ! I'm sure your son is very proud of you too ;) Enjoy your weekend Bettina :)

Great passion in full colors dancing above and in his head, i can hear the music, love the movement you caught here and the palette is dreamy ! I went directly past 3mn of the video ;) and could hear him, bravo ! But the girl just in front does not let us see the hero so i came back here and here he is - great trip !
18 Oct 2010 6:32am
Must be quite something to see your own son in a performance situation as good as this ! And thanks for the vid link - I've got the neighbors fully awake, now !
18 Oct 2010 6:45am
@Ronnie 2¢: haha. hope they forgave you. :)
Mother is always proud of her child ... And a child artist deserves even more pride!
18 Oct 2010 7:42am
He's a great drummer, solid, ..and a nice shot for the archives.
18 Oct 2010 7:46am
@CATCHLIGHT: Thanks! Solid is a good word for him. He has great control and sound production. He's very versatile and has a "drummographic" memory. I've been a roadie since he was six. He's been performing since he was nine.
Excellent shot.. love the mood here.
18 Oct 2010 8:08am
Lovely musical shot ! Your son seems to be "in" , well done ; Phil.

18 Oct 2010 1:09pm
Great light...Great shot.
18 Oct 2010 1:35pm
Bettina this is an awesome photograph - sooooo many cool things about it: The intensity and concentration is totally evident, great job; Performance photographs - I mean REALLY GOOD ones, are difficult to attain - you have surpassed that here! Using the ambient light and capturing at that moment of intensity along with the really cool purple and lime spots and the blue background.... all bouncing off this magnificent performer and his great looking deep red set...(looks like Yamaha, or maybe Ludwig or Sonor colors?) are almost as exciting as being there. Thanks to my ear accident in the Army I can't go but I can look and listen at lower volumes....you should be rightfully proud - I would love to hear some of his work...I would love to see more of your performance images...you realy have this down Bet!! Love -DJ
18 Oct 2010 2:19pm
@Denny Jump Photo: Thanks so much for your kind words here, Denny! I took a lot of pictures of the performance. There are quite a few cool ones of the other kids, too. Maybe I'll slip them in here and there. :)
Very beautiful colors and atmosphere! Superb image of your son in its music! Bravo to the mother and to her son!
18 Oct 2010 2:54pm
@mo.langel: Thank you so much! :)

It seems it was a good show
18 Oct 2010 5:10pm
ROCK'N'ROOOOOOLL! :)) An atmosphere of fire with the colors of lights flash, smoke and attitude of your son focused on his drums!
I understand your feeling ... I also have a son musician ... ;-)
18 Oct 2010 5:12pm
@Christian Richer: What does your son play?
Wonderful ! A great portrait in action ! Your picture is like a painting ...superb ! My son was playing drums too ...when he was young !
18 Oct 2010 7:15pm
@Mhelene: Thanks! That's great. What does he do now? :)
A nice colorful portrait of your son during a rock concert... you're proud and i can understand why... :-)

19 Oct 2010 4:50pm
@Zoltan: on! :)
My son has studied classical piano. Currently, at age 25, he continued studying jazz and contemporary music (piano, guitar, bass). He himself gives music lessons and played in bands (jazz manouche "and funk).
19 Oct 2010 5:24pm
@Christian Richer: That's wonderful! It's great to see the grow and develop their art. Your son sounds very versatile!
Give it some welly! i love drummers. in my experience they're always the one to have a pint with (leave the singer in the dressing room. leave the guitarist in a shop full of guitars). bass players? well...
19 Oct 2010 6:22pm
@Philip: Haha. So true! I've been thinking about this for days. bass players... well
I love the neon stage lights flooding the scene and right smack in the middle, the drummer pounding his drum. What's the name of your son's band? I assume this is not a jazz band right ;)
19 Oct 2010 7:08pm
@Howard F.: No jazz band, even though they do go into fusion. Mainly rock. You know some death metal is one degree separated from jazz. It's all interesting how it blends together.
magnifica captura, me gusta el color!
20 Oct 2010 1:39am
terrific! I love the colors. is this the next Dave Lombardo? :)
20 Oct 2010 2:47am
@Shoti: Yes. The next somebody. :)
