Where love is found too easily there is often a price to be paid.
A cautionary tale after Valentines.
Very clever! Equally clever title and description. Though I may be reading this differently from your original though - my read says - In the modern day, love that is found (and expressed or rather deposited.. another word comes to my mind here - invested. But I still find it difficult to use in context to love) too easily, brings in a price to pay later.

Maybe love can be found in spite of money.

@Michael Rawluk: It's probably always in spite of money or it wouldn't be love. It would just be money.
Fabulous colours,Bett'.......Love it...

Or you love money then the price is clearly given ;)). The heavy red sets the flowers in an ugly light - at least makes them kitsch. Wonderful. Your title and text seem to be bitter romantic in the gap of love between material needs and ideal dreams.

@NaDu: Or maybe price is not literal, but symbolic.

Clever in every respect. I love the way the metal glistens. As the old saying goes, 'Money doesn't make you happier. Someone with $10 million is necessarily happier than someone with $9.5 million'.

I love the way the metal shines out and the orange glow over the flowers, so perfect with your title and words.
15 Feb 2011 7:33am
clearly seen bettina
I like your message!
15 Feb 2011 7:37am
Ah, the glow of the reds and the glistening depository. A warm shot and a great title.

I like the warm passionate afterglow after Valentines!

Your words are bang on Betty!! Its also common sense but that is a commodity most uncommon! The highlights on the chrome seem to warn us of unpleasant shocks to b expected:) Great Post!!
15 Feb 2011 7:49am
great, great image! love the night colors. it's always the question - how to express without the expression getting in the way...
15 Feb 2011 8:12am
Superb light and colors. Hoping that the love is not too tied to the money !!!!! Nice day.
15 Feb 2011 8:29am

15 Feb 2011 9:19am
Looks like a big warning shot..red,with the deposite looking like a burning heater :)
15 Feb 2011 9:43am
With all those flowers it looks like a shrine to filthy lucre :) Love the way the metal blasts out of the wall.

L'amour est mieux dans nos coeurs que dans nos porte-monnaie...

A powerful message Bettina! Unfortunately those of us able to understand the impact are often old enough to know better! Oh to be young and invincible again!!! Nicely captured! ;-)

a very clever and intriguing image, combined with an equally clever and intriguing title! this is absolutely open to interpretation - as shown by the many reactions here! (mine, i'll keep to myself!)
15 Feb 2011 2:17pm
Is it the supreme love and adoration of money I see, leaving all these
tributes, unimaginable, in the glowing sunset we ride off...
15 Feb 2011 2:50pm
Wonderful light and colors. Nice image and a powerful message. I share with Tede in 'Hoping that the love is not too tied to the Money' ... Good day :)
15 Feb 2011 5:11pm

Truer words were never spoken - and an image to convey perfectly the story...great job...I also like how shiny the "Depository" is in appearance but the flowers look "used" and drying....too cool.
15 Feb 2011 6:04pm
Very thought provoking, but i do love the shiny deposit box.
15 Feb 2011 6:31pm
great shot, well spotted
15 Feb 2011 7:16pm
You are too clever for your own good, Bettina.

Lovely capture and I agree 110% on your remark. I am seeing right now, as my female coworker complain about her easily-found relationship in Thousand Oaks... She's in San Gabriel by the way.

@Howard F.: It's really true. If every heeded this principle, much could be avoided.
