You Can Bank On It

Where love is found too easily there is often a price to be paid.
A cautionary tale after Valentines.

NIKON D60 1/25 second F/5.3 ISO 400 330 mm (35mm equiv.)

Punit from Somewhere in, India

Very clever! Equally clever title and description. Though I may be reading this differently from your original though - my read says - In the modern day, love that is found (and expressed or rather deposited.. another word comes to my mind here - invested. But I still find it difficult to use in context to love) too easily, brings in a price to pay later.

Maybe love can be found in spite of money.

15 Feb 2011 5:57am

@Michael Rawluk: It's probably always in spite of money or it wouldn't be love. It would just be money.

STEED from Somewhere, France

Fabulous colours,Bett'.......Love it...

Or you love money then the price is clearly given ;)). The heavy red sets the flowers in an ugly light - at least makes them kitsch. Wonderful. Your title and text seem to be bitter romantic in the gap of love between material needs and ideal dreams.

15 Feb 2011 6:49am

@NaDu: Or maybe price is not literal, but symbolic.

Clever in every respect. I love the way the metal glistens. As the old saying goes, 'Money doesn't make you happier. Someone with $10 million is necessarily happier than someone with $9.5 million'.

I love the way the metal shines out and the orange glow over the flowers, so perfect with your title and words.

Is it the supreme love and adoration of money I see, leaving all these
tributes, unimaginable, in the glowing sunset we ride off...

Truer words were never spoken - and an image to convey perfectly the story...great job...I also like how shiny the "Depository" is in appearance but the flowers look "used" and drying....too cool.

Lovely capture and I agree 110% on your remark. I am seeing right now, as my female coworker complain about her easily-found relationship in Thousand Oaks... She's in San Gabriel by the way.

16 Feb 2011 10:00pm

@Howard F.: It's really true. If every heeded this principle, much could be avoided.
